Hi, my name is Mayra Guzmán. I’m 18 years old and I belong to the parish of Santa Rosa. I actually got introduced to this ACTS retreat through my confirmation class. I didn’t know what to expect. I knew it was going to be an adult retreat for people over 18. It was kinda hard for me to accept it, because I as a young person feel like I should not come to these kinds of retreats. But it was mind-blowing.

I believe that God sent me here for a reason. I’m in that stage, that stepping stone, where I want to get know the Lord more. And I feel that this retreat has actually helped me. It has opened up my eyes. And I just feel that it’s been an introduction of what my journey is to be. It has helped me and I know that many people who are seeking to find the Lord on a higher level, especially at a young age, should come to these retreats. It’s mind-blowing. It’s eye-opening. And you see experiences from women who go through so much and their examples, what they go through can actually benefit us as young people to know how to resolve our problems in the future for whatever vocation we’re meant to. I recommend this for young women who are 18 like me or older women who are going through marital problems to come. It’s great support and you will find God in every single sister you meet. It’s a great experience and I wish that everyone could experience what I have. God bless you guys!
