Mario Leal

Greetings to all, may the grace of Lord Jesus Christ find you wherever you are. My name is Mario Leal and I am honored to be able to share my experiences with you from our 2024 Mens ACTS retreat. It was a life altering moment that I will carry with me through my journey with God and I pray that this message may capture your interest by way of a planted seed.

It is an interesting thing that before our Lord began the work of His ministry, He wandered into the desert for 40 days. This highlights the importance of blocking out the constant noise we receive from the world in order that we may hear the voice of God more clearly. That’s exactly what this retreat meant to me. A separation from the pressures of society in order that we may experience the love of God on a deeper level. To discover what His will is for your life and to open up your heart for a full conversion.

Before this amazing experience, I was having doubts about my faith. I was questioning the work I was doing in ministry. Through it, I have found a renewed sense of purpose in serving. I witnessed the power of community and fellowship. I realized that there are others who are dealing with similar struggles in their day to day lives. Through the power of God and the Church, we can overcome anything that comes our way.

By the wisdom of God obtained at this retreat, I learned that genuine freedom is achieved by actively denying or letting go of personal desires, attachments, and limitations. That our true strength is found in Christ. I hope that some day we may share in our experiences if you choose to answer His call. May the peace of God be with you, always.
