Bob Delacerda

My name is Bob Delacerda. I would like to share my experiences, which I hold close to my heart, at the ACTS 2024 Retreat I recently attended. That weekend God’s love was felt in every room. His love was felt in every man’s heart and word.

We discussed the love of our Lord and Family and how our hearts yearned for the spiritual rejuvenation which helped me become a man after God’s own heart. Orlando was my “Spiritual Helper” that weekend, and with him at my side, God did work miracles in my heart.

I found out what this experience would mean to me, the love of God and the love for my family. God entered into the depths of my own heart and I know see my family as my primary vocation.

I learned to distinguish between the world’s definition of freedom versus the Lord’s definition of freedom. I learned of actions I could take to believe I can really be free with God and my family in my heart. I learned no matter what I had done in the past and no matter how far I had fallen away from God, God is merciful. I learned to rejoice in the love of God and in the love of my spouse and children.

I now allow God into my weak areas and wounds. His strength has shown through and has opened my eyes and heart to His love and care for me and most importantly for my family.
