January 2020 CORE Meeting Minutes
Dear ACTS Brothers and Sisters,
Please take a moment to read the Core Meeting Minutes (click on link below) to learn of the happenings in our efforts to support the next ACTS Retreat.
On behalf of the ACTS CORE, it is with great sadness, that we announce the loss of our beloved father, friend, spiritual guide and tremendous supporter, Rev. John “Jack” Curran, O.M.I. Father Jack was the Associate Pastor at Mary Immaculate Church, St. Ferdinand Church and Pastor at Santa Rosa Church from July 2009 to November 2019. Although he was busy with other responsibilities, he was a committed member of CORE since 2014. Father passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Our hearts are heavy yet we are at peace knowing that our brother in Christ, our Pastor, this faithful servant of God is joyously welcomed into the Kingdom of God.
The Women’s ACTS Retreat is coming up on May 14 and we encourage you to spread the word about it amongst friends, family and co-workers. The Women’s Retreat team has started preparing on February 6th under the leadership of Director Luli Calvo and the guidance of the Holy Spirit; they are ready and exited to bring about another life-transforming Retreat.
Please check the Events Calendar to learn about upcoming events including our Lenten Workshop taking place on February 29th at 1:00pm in the St Ferdinand’s Parish Hall. It will prepare you for the lenten season and Easter as we learn about the three spiritual disciplines: 1) Prayer, 2) Fasting, and 3) Almsgiving.
